About Me

Hi, I’m Dr. Anu T Alex, and I’m passionate about guiding individuals, couples, and families toward healing and transformation through purpose-centred counselling.

For over 20 years, I have built a successful career in marketing and the shipping industry. While I thrived professionally, I felt a deeper calling to help people navigate life’s challenges with faith and emotional resilience. This led me to pursue a Master’s and later, a Doctorate in Christian Counselling, equipping myself with a balanced approach to each individual’s unique challenges and situations. I’m also a member of the Christian Counsellors Association of India (CCAI), which helps me stay connected and updated with current practices in the field.

At Renewed Mercies, I integrate my corporate experience with a counselling approach that addresses stress, burnout, career transitions, relationships, and emotional well-being. My goal is to provide a compassionate, confidential, and positive space where you can find clarity and healing.

Therapy is a way to get help with mental health issues or to get extra support when going through a difficult time.

One should seek counselling when certain aspects of their mental health have started affecting the other areas of their life, it can range from the smallest of concerns such as personality development, self-discovery, life stressors to the most distressing ones such as panic attacks, depression, anxiety, mood fluctuations, grief, trauma and so on. These signs and symptoms could be due to any significant reasons like chronic stressors due to relationship conflicts, financial crisis, poor body image, low confidence, career difficulties etc.

Therapy can help you learn coping skills, feel better, and improve your quality of life.

During your first session, your therapist may ask about your symptoms, what brought you to therapy, and your history.

Your therapist may ask questions to help you focus on your current experiences, such as what you're feeling, thinking, seeing, and hearing.

The length of therapy depends on the severity of your concerns, your needs, and your progress.

Therapy can help you feel better, but it's more than just a feel-good process. It can help you work on negative emotions, change distorted thinking patterns, and change self-defeating behaviors.

Our on-board psychiatrists do provide medications if necessary. Medications are only necessary as per the severity of the symptoms the client is suffering from.
